SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting mission-critical environments.
You’ll work across various database technologies, with a primary focus on PostgreSQL/EDB and MS SQL Server.
This role also involves scripting, on-call support, and collaboration on international projects, giving you an opportunity to influence technology decisions.
Key Responsibilities.
Support and manage databases across PostgreSQL/EDB and MS SQL Server in mission-critical environments.
Work with additional technologies, such as AWS RDS, AWS Redshift, Oracle, and MySQL clusters.
Write and maintain scripts using languages like PSQL, TSQL, SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, Perl, PowerShell, and Python.
Ensure smooth operation across Linux/Unix and Windows OS platforms.
Participate in on-call support approximately one week per month.
Contribute to the database layer of multiple services and engage in international projects.
Collaborate with team members and influence current and future technology strategies.
Requirements.
Education.
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Experience.
5+ years in database administration, supporting mission-critical systems.
Technical Expertise.
Mandatory.
PostgreSQL/EDB and MS SQL Server.
Preferred.
AWS RDS and AWS Redshift.
Optional.
Oracle, MySQL, and MySQL cluster.
Scripting Skills.
Proficiency in PSQL, TSQL, SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, Perl, PowerShell, and Python.
OS Proficiency.
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
Soft Skills.
Excellent communication skills at both technical and business levels.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a pragmatic approach.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Collaborative team player, with the motivation to progress and share knowledge.
Expected Skills.
