Job Description/ Position Description.
• Should be able to work independently.
• Creation of the Semantic Layer (Cubes) based on the data warehouse design and business requirements.
• Creation of all reporting elements such as filters, hierarchies, custom groups as required by the reports and analytics.
• Experience with dimension data modelling.
• Adopt best practices in completion of the assigned tasks ensuring efficiency and accuracy of the desired results.
• Perform required unit testing and validation of all Reporting objects.
• Perform in-depth data and functionality validation.
• Prepare required testing scripts and validation routines as per the testing strategy.
• Conduct Integration testing on respective work stream modules and document test results effectively.
• SQL knowledge (query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc.) as well as an understanding of database structure • Work with QA associates to resolve defects Job Role/ Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to pick up new reporting tools and concepts quickly.
• Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities • Experience in working in an Agile environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
• Requires leadership qualities to mentor junior members of the team.
• Proficiency with any BI Tool like SAP BusinessObjects, MS Power BI etc.
• Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required.
• Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures • Programming / scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred.
• Having atleast basic knowledge on the replication concepts and tools.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• 4-6 years of experience in creating Semantic Models & ETL processes.
