Work location is in Fairfax, VA.
There may be limited travel required for client events and meetings.
This is a hybrid position, and you must be able to work from our CGI office in Fairfax, VA two days a week.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Responsible for facilitating and championing the Agile software development process.
• Regularly report on team progress, risks, and any blockers to program leadership.
• Maintain project status in Agile tracking software and prepare reports on status for program Leadership.
• Maintain a smooth operation of our Agile processes and activities.
• Responsible for facilitating daily stand-ups, backlog prioritization meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives and other Agile activities.
• Responsible for communicating with the customer and the team, tracking tasks and producing quality deliverables.
• Work with team to identify, document, manage risks/issues in a timely manner, coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure risks/issues are resolved and closed.
• Continuously coach the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices.
• Experience with maintaining user documentation in a development operations continuous testing and deployment environment.
• Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
• Knowledge and experience of IT systems, database, operating systems, Continuous I Integration, and Continuous Testing to be able to troubleshoot simple technical/configuration related issues prior to handing it to the development team.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to understand current assignment and enable the team to stay focused on Sprint and Program Increment objectives.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Computer Science, or an equivalent education • At least 5 years of previous experience leading and managing agile IT development projects.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master certification • Experience with Azure DevOps Agile Project Management tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills is necessary to be successful in this role • Advanced proficiency in analytical, organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Customer- and relationship-focused, process-driven, metric-focused, results-oriented, organized, and self-directed.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task and solve problems independently and innovatively.
• Expertise managing and orchestrating Agile development and O&M teams.
• Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently manage product releases, sprints, and development cycles.
• Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills • Experience with maintaining user documentation in a development operations continuous testing and deployment environment • Strong analytical skills and the ability to pay careful attention to detail Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFE Product Owner Product Manager Certification.
• Experience working at large financial institutions, including mortgage-backed securities.
