Position Description.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Salesforce Quality Assurance Engineer with hands-on experience with manual and automation testing to join our fast-growing team.
We are looking for a team member who has experience with software testing, leveraging platforms such as Selenium, who can work well in an Agile Team to deliver critical software solutions to a large Federal program.
This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.
, preferred location is Fairfax, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Collaborate with our development teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases and scenarios.
• Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce applications, including customizations and integrations to ensure system requirements are met.
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of Salesforce solutions.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools such as JIRA • Perform regression testing to validate fixes and ensure that new enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
• Participate in the deployment process by conducting smoke tests and verifying successful deployments in different environments.
• Review test results and evaluate for conformance to design.
• Serve as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how to make our software solutions defect free when delivered.
• Ensure testing documentation is updated based on the new user requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Write, implement and report status for system test cases for testing based on system design specifications.
• Provide regular status updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to your team and project stakeholders as necessary.
• Contribute to the overall quality assurance strategy and participate in team meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Stay updated on Salesforce best practices, new features, and industry trends to enhance the quality of testing efforts.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working as a Salesforce QA Engineer with test automation tools such as Selenium or Apex testing framework.
• 2+ years of experience working in an Agile team.
• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline or 3 years of equivalent experience in a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce platform features, configurations, and capabilities.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Experience working in a virtual environment.
• Ability to acquire a Public Trust clearance.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
• Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform App Builder are a plus.
