Project Manager/Builder or Structural Engineer Looking for a project manager/builder or structural engineer to finish the construction of a boat Hull in the Caribbean with 60% completed.
ONLY FOR EU CITIZENS OR RESIDENTS Contract Duration.
3-5 months Maximum.
This job may become permanent after this prototype boat is completed.
Requirements.
• Engineering background preferred but not required, since the main engineer and Marine Architect will be working closely with the builder remotely.
• Must have extensive experienced working in boats.
Preferably someone with working experience in harsh weather or climates.
• Diesel Mechanical background is also a plus.
• Quick adaptation to changelling conditions and demonstration of problem-solving skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness in managing the project.
Responsibilities.
• Boat Hull Construction.
o Expert Welder in MiG Mag Welding and Electrodes o Able to read structural plans, blueprints, drawings, including Auto Cad o Able to communicate with the Marine Engineer remotely and follow orders o The Builder/ Engineer will take over the construction of a watertight hull prior to inspection.
• Tasks.
o Cutting, mounting, and welding steel plates working together with other welders.
o Supervise the entire construction project, including managing daily workers, ensuring quality control, and adhering to safety standards.
• Problem-Solving.
o Given the challenging working in an environment with limited resources, the Builder/Engineer must be capable of identifying and solving complex problems related to construction processes and resource constraints.
o The Builder/ Engineer will be in charge of coordinating the daily tasks of workers and overseeing manual labor and material assistance.
Conditions.
• All travel expenses paid, and accommodations paid.
• The Builder/ Engineer acknowledges that working conditions may be challenging due to.
o Climate.
The climate is extremely hot, working outdoors with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius.
• Salary dollars starting.
Negotiable based on experience.
