- Extensive experience with PHP Laravel and iOS.
- Proven track record in performance auditing.
- Ability to provide actionable insights for code optimization.
Hello, We are at the end of our iOS app build for a social networking platform that we will be launching early next year.
Before we launch we are looking for someone to come in a review the code and also perform a Stress Test of the platform/servers so we know we are in good shape to launch, grow and build.
*Requirements Must-Have Skills.
Extensive experience in Laravel and PHP backend development, with a focus on best practices and performance optimization.
*Proven ability to conduct backend code audits, identify performance bottlenecks, and deliver actionable recommendations.
*Expertise in SQL (preferably MySQL or equivalent), including query optimization, schema design, and indexing strategies.
Proficiency with tools like JMeter, Locust, or LoadRunner to simulate high-traffic scenarios and evaluate application performance under load.
*Capability to identify security vulnerabilities, particularly SQL injections, XSS, and CSRF, with recommendations for mitigation.
Strong documentation skills to present findings, including identified issues, their impacts, and suggested fixes, in a clear, structured report.
* Experience in mobile app performance optimization, specifically for iOS platforms.
* Experience with code review methodologies and tools to ensure rigorous auditing processes.
Good-to-Have Skills.
Knowledge of server performance tuning on environments like Apache, Nginx, or Docker.
Experience with REST API load testing and optimization to improve response times and performance.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.
., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to recommend automated testing and deployment improvements.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to assess frontend-backend interactions.
Bonus Skills.
Proficiency with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for scaling and performance management.
Understanding of Laravel’s job and queue system to optimize asynchronous processing.
Knowledge of caching tools (e.
., Redis, Memcached) for application performance enhancement.
Familiarity with IaC tools (e.
., Terraform, Ansible) and observability tools (e.
., New Relic, Datadog, Grafana) to improve monitoring and infrastructure management.
Deliverables.
A detailed report of code audit findings with recommended optimizations for performance and security.
A report on application performance under simulated high-load scenarios.
Suggested enhancements for backend efficiency, scalability, and security.
