OT ENGINEER

Location: Felgueiras, Felgueiras, PT Job Family: Information Technology Country/Region: Portugal OT Engineer The primary focus of this role is to support all OT-related matters to ensure uninterrupted operations at the Portugal FEL operation facility. Additionally, the position will coordinate global manufacturing OT solutions provided by Coloplast Global OT and ensure their successful implementation locally. Key responsibilities include supporting daily Production technicians and Process Engineers with the current MES subsystems such as OEE, Recipe System, Historian System and data collection, alongside supporting IT in relation to alerts and system efficiencies at the facility. Furthermore, the OT Engineer will aid in the development and assume responsability for local implementation of new projects, including the addition of new machines to existing MES subsystems. The role will also involve configurations for HMI and Switches within OT domains, as well as data monitoring and supporting digitalization efforts through the implementation of new technologies at the Portugal site. Your challenge! Provide support to the production site in all OT software development tasks Track OT maintenance tasks and participate in improvements for all local production machines Participate in and drive development projects alongside the Operations Development Team and Coloplast Global OT Manage/participate in IT/OT projects Maintain, support and enhance EAM (E1 maintenance module) Maintain, support and improve existing computer systems such as CIRMOS, iFIX, VIP-OEE, ESR, etc Design and support new OT software and process improvements Create and conduct OT-related training sessions Manage and enhance project documentation and integrate OT-related improvements into current processes Monitor data and ensure system efficiencies at the Portugal facility Assist IT with alerts and system-related issues at the Portugal site Support digitalization efforts through the implementation of new technologies at the Portugal site Add and transfer machines to and from OT domains within the Portugal facility Configure HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and Switches for OT domains at the Portugal location Perform duties in accordance with given guidelines Notify the manager of any difficulty in understanding or following guidelines; Report any system inefficiency Perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct leader as part of the position’s roles and responsibilities Assume responsibility for the identified safety aspects associated with the given role What we expect from you: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering or a related field – or equivalent practical experience 3-4 years of work experience in manufacturing-related roles Solid experience managing and troubleshooting OT systems Experience with manufacturing IT/OT protocols Knowledge of industrial control systems (ICS) (Rockwell/automation systems) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems (iFix or Optix) Hands-on experience with MES subsystems like OEE, Recipe System, Historian System, and data collection Knowledge of network, switches, and routers Strong understanding of domain networks, servers, clients, and Active Directories Standardized knowledge of network cabling English Level: B2 – Upper Intermediate level (based on the scale of the Common European Framework) Knowledge of Factory Talk/RS Linx, OPC server SQL (structured query language) knowledge HTML5 knowledge Knowledge of software validation Active Directory knowledge Windows server knowledge High attention to detail Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Responsible attitude, fast work, precision, accuracy, and discreet handling of confidential information Be able to represent Felgueiras in relevant global OT forums Availability to work overtime to meet manufacturing needs Ability to be on call to support manufacturing requirements Recurrent traveling during the first year for training purposes (up to some consecutive weeks) Ensuring compliance with all environmental, QA, and safety regulations Able to work independently, with active participation in teamwork depending on the given task Desirable Qualifications: Understanding of PLC systems in Rockwell/Omron/Siemens Knowledge of ISO27001: Information Security Standard Knowledge of GMP rules and regulations Knowledge of ThingWorx, Thin Manager, and Visual Basic Knowledge of vSphere and Hyper-V Familiarity with Coloplast systems (e.g., COFDAS, change management, NCR, and QMS) Knowledge of the NIST cybersecurity framework Understanding of ISA99, ISA/IEC 62443 - Security for Industrial Automation and Control Systems CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate (can be obtained during onboarding) Other job requirements: Recurrent travelling during the first year for training purposes (up to some consecutive weeks). Long term travel is estimated in 5 to 10 days.
