We are looking for a highly motivated Operations Team Leader to join our team! This role efficiently leads Operators Processing and Operators Packaging, production activities and developing collaborative partnerships with colleagues.
Delivering the agreed to business and plant results while maintaining positive employee relations.
The primary accountabilities of the role include daily production schedule adherence, quality, EHS, logistics, production financial performance, labor relations, people and team development.
What you will do Accountable for the quality and efficiency of the production department, and its ability to deliver high levels of service to internal and external customers Lead the people, materials and equipment to deliver maintenance performance objectives, as measured by plant metrics.
Manage Production (Managing the process of converting raw materials into finished goods) Manage Materials and Services (Understands the relationship that operations, planning, logistics and manufacturing processes have on material and conversion costs and utilization in the area) Continuous Improvement.
(Conducts Continuous Improvement Reviews to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement.) Operational Excellence Leadership-(Demonstrating the leadership values inherent in our EOHS, Quality and FP&R principles and systems) Supply Chain Systems & Analysis.
(Leveraging analytical tools and business data to improve total performance of the Supply Chain) Run the Performance Enhancement Process when subordinates do not meet the expectations Handle absenteeism as Case Manager in cooperation with HR Tracks and analyses variances associated with materials or finished products Ensure compliance with policies/procedures for staffing, shift schedule, vacation scheduling, and training to meet business needs including peak production periods Lead the development and implementation of the daily production schedule in a way that ensures high levels of service to internal and external customers Identify, recommend and implement manufacturing cost reduction programs Executes new technology within the production area Delivering input on both capital and operating budgets Communicates and implement the local Supply Chain vision, mission, strategy and objectives.
Implement FP&R and other continuous improvement programs.
Implement strategies within the production department to consistently manufacture and ensure the quality of finished goods Develop and implement appropriate margin improvement initiatives Accountable for adhering to CP/Hill’s, local and governmental guidelines related to EHS, Quality and Regulatory Participate in driving the employee engagement strategy to maintain positive employee relations Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards   Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineer or related fields.
Experience in Manufacturing environment will be advantaged.
At least 1 year for Quality Systems Can work in shift Good command of English Communication (both writing and speaking).
Good communication skills Growth Mindset Ability to prioritize critical responsibilities and multi-task to meet various deadlines.
Drive cost reduction and waste elimination initiatives at the plant to support Funding the Growth initiative.
