Your mission, roles and responsibilities Position Overview.
We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our team.
As a software Developer at Forvia Software Services, you will be responsible for creating applications that interact with the car's systems at the infotainment level.
You will need expertise in Android development, experience with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and knowledge of cross-platform development.
Additionally, familiarity with Car Operating Systems and APIs provided by car manufacturers & third party App developers.
Responsibilities.
* Create embedded car Applications for the infotainment that interact with the car's systems.
* Develop apps that seamlessly connect with car hardware and software.
* Write efficient and reusable code for a variety of platforms.
* Collaborate with the development team to ensure apps function seamlessly.
* Stay updated on advancements in mobile development and automotive technologies.
* Continuously improve embedded car App performance and user experience.
* Adhere to industry standards and best practices in App development.
Your profile and competencies to succeed Key Skills.
* Android development, with experience in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
* Ability to write robust, efficient, and reusable code that functions seamlessly across different systems.
* Familiarity with Car Operating Systems (, e.
., Automotive Android, Automotive Grade Linux).
* Knowledge of APIs provided by car manufacturers or third party App providers or standard automotive middleware APIs, which enables embedded apps to communicate with car hardware and software.
Programming Languages.
* Expertise in Java, Swift, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python/C#, C++ Operating Systems.
* Android, (Linux, iOS is a plus) Development Tools & Frameworks.
* Visual Studio/Eclipse/IntelliJ, Android Studio, Unity * Docker and Kubernetes Other Skills and Technologies.
* Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) * Machine Learning Frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch * UI/UX Design Principles.
Specific to automotive infotainment systems to ensure user-friendly and safe interactions.
* Cybersecurity Basics.
Understanding the principles of secure coding and data protection * 5G Technology.
Knowledge of 5G and its application in automotive contexts for connected services.
Qualifications.
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an App Developer with a focus on Android development.
* Experience with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
* Strong coding skills and the ability to write efficient, reusable code.
* Familiarity with Car Operating Systems (e.
., Automotive Grade Linux, Automotive Android).
* Knowledge of APIs provided by car manufacturers or standard automotive middleware APIs and Third party App providers * Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Language Requirements.
* Proficiency in English is mandatory.
* Proficiency in French and German is a plus.
