MID-LEVEL JAVA DEVELOPER

Position Description.
We are looking for an experienced software developer with Java and Angular experience to help us create a new application for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission that simplifies, centralizes, streamlines, and automates their license fee billing activities.
This fee billing solution must integrate to the existing Momentum core financial system hosted in Microsoft Azure Government Cloud.
It must perform timely fee calculations by using real-time or near real-time fee billing data uploads from several NRC systems.
The engine must have an audit functionality to track all actions performed and user-friendly front-end interface.
This engine needs to comply with federal laws, federal regulations or are are otherwise necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives of the task order.
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.

Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Technical Team resources should support NRC Fee Billing Functional Team members by pro-actively responding to incidents escalated to the Technical Team.
• Incidents will be resolved in a timely manner based on priorities and guidelines agreed to with NRC.
When work on incidents is completed/resolved, tickets will be appropriately assigned back in ticketing/tracking system to the Functional Team Members for communication and closure with NRC when appropriate.
• Application code is developed using a logical and organized approach; code is developed using best practices (i.
., commenting code properly, format/indentation, avoiding duplication of code that performs the same function, etc.).
• Verify and maintain consistent environment configuration.
• Monitor environments to ensure they are meeting the appropriate performance and SLA standards for NRC.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior technical team members.
• Follow proper guidelines and CGI standards for environment maintenance to ensure minimal impact to the client and team.
This includes software build deployment, as well as bringing environments up/down, and security patching.
• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task to assist with various areas of the project at the same time.
• Ensure overall success of tasks which you are the owner of based on overall client satisfaction and feedback received from your manager.
• Ensure that on-call alerts are responded to within the expected timeframe of the alert.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience with Java and/or Angular.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must communicate well with other team members and balance shifting priorities to meet deadlines • Self-sufficient/self-starter Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
• Previous experience in an Azure environment desired CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications.
To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.
