MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER FOR SERIALIZATION MACHINE

The task at hand involves primarily the mechanical design of a serialization machine.
This machine needs to incorporate a conveyor belt system with a printing mechanism and an inspection setup, while also having a robust rejection system in line with pharmaceutical industry standards.
Please note, this project does not cover software or electrical design.
Key Responsibilities.
Design the mechanical components of the serialization machine.
Ensure that the design complies with pharmaceutical serialization regulations and guidelines (e.
., GS1, FDA).
Create detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
Suggest appropriate materials and mechanisms for the machine.
Include systems for labeling, conveyor integration, and reject handling.
Design for scalability and ease of maintenance.
Requirements.
Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably for pharmaceutical or packaging equipment.
Expertise in CAD software (e.
., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
Understanding of serialization equipment, including printing and inspection mechanisms.
Knowledge of industry standards for serialization.
Ability to provide detailed engineering drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials).
Deliverables.
3D CAD model of the serialization machine.
Detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
BOM for manufacturing.
A short report explaining the design and its compliance with serialization requirements.
