he Maintenance Engineer is a critical team player who understands that he/she are the protectors of the asset, working actively to minimize any exposure to the property.
Success in the position requires excellent communication with both hotel guests and our internal team members throughout the hotel.
The applicant must have proficiency in two or more of the following areas.
HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry and Painting.
This position requires an individual that works daily to ensure safe practices of themselves and other team members, following all Fairmont safety guidelines.
Job Description What you will be doing Being part of a total hotel team that understands protecting the assets, safety and service to our internal and external guests are priority.
nsuring that grooming standards are in line with the Fairmont luxury brand and employee handbook guidelines.
nsuring that work standards are in line with Fairmont luxury brand and brand operating procedures guidelines.
upports all departments in the hotel with sense of urgency and clear communication.
dvocates for the safety for themselves and others.
dentifies and immediately addresses safety issues throughout the property.
aintains hotel communication process including daily log sheets, shift meetings, monthly meetings.
roubleshoot/repairs of all maintenance calls for hotel guest rooms and all other departments of the hotel.
Escalate appropriately.
ompleting all training to ensure preparedness for any emergency situations in the hotel.
asic computer skills to navigate hotel systems.
akes active role of preventative maintenance throughout the building and guestrooms.
roubleshoot/Repair of hotel electronic door lock and key systems.
roficient in using building automated systems that monitor equipment throughout the hotel.
alking regularly throughout the property, checking various equipment rooms, systems and logging any issues.
eeping work areas, shops, and engineering offices clean and organized.
ualifications QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency in two or more areas in the following.
HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, and PaintingBasic level computer skills.
trong communication skillsPreferred experience in hotel environmentAvailability for days, evenings, nights and weekendsAdditional InformationPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to).
Extended periods of standing and walking throughout shiftsLight to heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects.
