LEAD DB DEVELOPER

Position Description.
• 7+ years of Oracle PL/SQL coding experience in Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with performance efficient design and coding • Deep understanding of Collections, Data structures, Exception handling, Performance Tuning, analytical Functions, RDBMS.
• Solid knowledge of Oracle execution plans / performance tuning.
• Experience in debugging DB environmental issues like table space issues, listener down, stats etc.
• Knowledge of design and development using relational databases.
• Understanding Low level design document.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable • Payments/banking domain experience will be a plus.
• Good to know Unix shell scripting or java or python.
Responsibilities • Shall be able to write low level design document Participate in integration of components and bug fixing.
• End to end software development and delivery.
• Experience in handling support issue.
Additional Expectation from the position • Worked as key developer in building large scale Enterprise applications in Oracle databases.
• Very strong experience and skills in PL/SQL, Oracle Query performance, Scalability and Reliability.
• Innovate and create solutions to very complex problems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills • Promptly and professionally participate in Triage call with client and / or gather appropriate information to timely resolve the service request.
• Accurately document the situation, and if applicable, initiate and follow the appropriate workflow when the issue needs additional assistance to reach resolution • Work with client and client assigned personnel in the resolution of functional request while providing the resolution according to agreed upon timeline.
• Stay informed of application status and all dependencies that may affect applications user.
• Keep and maintain accurate documentation of all functional requests to make sure all service levels are supported and justified with metrics • Keep and maintain accurate documentation of all functional requests and assist with release management • The person should have very good experience with regards to reviewing and responding to client requests while working closely with internal teams to address these requests • Work may require flexible work periods to address application and client needs • Good communication skills to directly and independently interact with clients for gathering requirement.
