Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or Masters of Engineering in Computer Science As an Lead ABAP Developer you are responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP-based solutions in SAP.
You provide technical leadership, ensure coding best practices, integrate with modern SAP technologies like Fiori/UI5, and collaborate with functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
You also mentor junior developers and support system upgrades and performance tuning.
Must-Have Skills.
• Design, develop, and optimize ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects).
• Provide technical leadership in ABAP development, ensuring best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain custom enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, and user exits.
• Optimize SAP performance by analyzing and tuning ABAP code, database queries, and workflows.
• Integrate ABAP with SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, and CDS views for modern SAP applications.
• Manage SAP system upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA conversions, ensuring smooth transitions.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to resolve system issues.
• Work with SAP modules like FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and HR to build cross-functional solutions.
• Ensure adherence to SAP security and authorization best practices in development.
• Lead and mentor junior ABAP developers, providing guidance and training.
• Collaborate with Basis teams for system performance tuning and technical troubleshooting.
• Document technical specifications, test cases, and development guidelines.
