JUNIOR OT SECURITY ENGINEER

Position Description.

Our latest opportunity is for someone to join our Brisbane team as a Junior OT Security engineer.
This role will suit someone with a few years' experience in a similar position, or with L2 Desktop Support experience, looking for career development and growth into network security.
You will work with one of our clients on the management of remote access, end-point security, backups and other tasks, and you will have great communication and prioritization skills.
Flexible work is available, including hybrid work, with in-office attendance a minimum of 3 days a week, and as operational requirements dictate.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Ongoing maintenance, support, upgrades, and enhancements within the OT environment.
• Implement security controls as required • OT Security process control maintenance.
• Incident Response rectification/remediation.
• Asset register maintenance.
• Windows Server , Windows 10 - Support • Logical network drawing reviews.
• Access Control Management – Logical.
• Preventative maintenance work.
• SIEM review and maintenance as required.
• Endpoint Protection management.
• Provide after-hours support on an exceptional basis.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• 3+ years’ experience working in a corporate or enterprise IT, with minimum 1-year as L2 Desktop Support or equivalent.
• IT knowledge and experience across Windows/Unix Systems.
• Familiarity with security measures to protect corporate and/or operational environments.
• Knowledge of EndPoint security packages such as Trellix EndPoint Security/ePO • Vulnerability Remediation experience.
• Basic Network Experience.
• Disaster Recovery Knowledge/experience.
• Ability to Interpret IT Security standards and communicate requirements to others.
• Security Incident Response knowledge • Proficient communication & stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team to ensure effective delivery of support services.
