Position Description.
We are seeking a Junior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our CGI team! This is a full-time career opportunity to work on a highly visible transformation (Infrastructure services) projects for one of our long-standing government clients! This role applies deep technical expertise to the design, implementation, testing, and ongoing support of AWS services.
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the US; however, the preferred locations are one of our Onshore Delivery Centers.
Troy, AL; Lafayette, LA; Wausau, WI; Knoxville, TN; Mobile, AL; Belton, TX; Waterville, ME; or Lebanon, VA.

Your future duties and responsibilities.
How you'll make an impact • Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments • Manages AWS services, working with internal service groups as required to ensure system availability meets project requirements • Develops scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities • Analyzes monitoring results to produce recommendations for improving system performance and operational efficiency Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
What you'll bring • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification • 1-2 years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills • Excellent working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies • Experience working with third party service providers such as vendors and internal support groups • Ability to exercise independent judgment in driving technical problems to resolution • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS.
• Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platforms • Familiarity with Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket) and other DevOps tools • Strong Working knowledge of Local and Wide area networking technologies • Experience support fast-paced development environments utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies • Ability to communicate complex technical information to less technical staff (e.

CGI management and client staff) • Strong understanding of broader technology context (e.
.
