IOS DEVELOPER

Position Description.
This role can be filled from either Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH CGI is seeking a highly skilled IOS Developer to join our dynamic development team.
The ideal candidate will lead the development and maintenance of mobile applications for iOS devices, specifically within the retail banking sector.
This role involves working closely with product managers, design teams, and other developers to deliver robust and scalable banking solutions.

• Guide the team in modernizing legacy banking applications and implementing new ones.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications and integrations.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and their application in building efficient systems.

• Identify and resolve technical challenges related to performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Provide solutions to critical production issues and ensure minimal downtime.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Identify and fix bugs; improve app performance and stability.
• Implement Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
• Implement software features and modules based on project specifications.
• Collaborate with senior developers to create scalable and robust applications.
• Review code written by junior developers and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation related to design, development, and deployment processes.
• Document APIs, libraries, and frameworks for team use.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Analyze and clarify user stories or project specifications.
• Manage and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
• Update project management tools with progress and blockers.
• Work closely with other developers, QA engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality software.
• Provide updates on project status and technical challenges to team leads or project managers.
• Assist with deploying applications to production environments.
• Monitor application performance and participate in maintenance activities.
• Ensure the application follows security best practices and guidelines.
• Ensure high application performance and responsiveness.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications for optimal performance.
• Work on app security to protect sensitive banking data.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related fields.
• Ņ+ years of solid hands-on software development experience with a focus on continuous delivery and deployment and cloud automation.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in iOS development.
• Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode and Objective-C.
• Strong understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, including publishing apps to the App Store.
• Solid understanding of mobile design principles and interface guidelines • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services • Experience with RESTful APIs • Good Analytical and problem-solving skills • Good Knowledge of design patterns.
• Understanding of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git/Bitbucket.
• Experience leading development teams, mentoring junior developers, and facilitating collaboration.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and oversee multiple development projects simultaneously • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed technical decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, testers, and product managers.
• Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
