Industrial Quality Engineer    About Alstom in India Alstom has established a strong presence in India.
Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh.
In the Mainline space, Alstom is executing Signaling & Power Supply Systems for the 343 Km.
section on World Bank funded Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor.
Phase 1 in the construction of the new electric locomotive factory for manufacturing and supply of 800 units of HP locomotives is also complete at Madhepura, Bihar while the depot at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh is ready to commence operation.

ustomer and Residential Engineer,Calibration Vendors Purpose of Job You will be in charge to ensure the compliance of products and partsdelivered by the ALSTOM facilities.
He/ She performsinspections, checks,tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions onproducts ready for delivery and onproducts during their manufacturingprocess according to Control Plan per Project and internal procedures(highlighting SpecialProcesses).
You will record associated NCRs, results,and KPIs.
You must be lead the continuous improvement and the preventionofQuality defects in order to obtain more efficiency and goes to theexcellence.
Organization Structure The Industrial quality Engineer will report hierarchically to Process Industrial Quality Manager  Mission & Responsibility To ensure the Quality of produced products you will encourage, promoteand facilitate the properly criteria to Productionand performs inspections ofsubassemblies or finished ALSTOM products according to well definedcriteria using standardphysical, mechanical and/ or electricalmeasurements.
Contributes into site improvement actions and programsrelatedto the IQ scope.
Support new product launches to ensure that supplier qualitymeets the required standards - Perform on-site suppliervisitsfor root cause analysis and verification of correction actions ofsupplier quality issues - Collate and evaluatesupplier qualitydata to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain - Promote the use ofcustomer preferredtechniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing),Measurement SystemAnalysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)- Undertake special projects asrequired Functionally manages the team of inspectors in fitting Workshop.
Reporting of KPIs, defects, quality incidents.
Accepts or Reject products as defined in the work instructions and drawings.
Accurately document NCR and results of the inspections andtesting Drive Right First Time culture to develop continuous improvementand preventive actions to increase the level of qualityperformance inthe Workshop (QRQC, Defect feedback loop, Pareto...).
Deployment of the self-inspection and workstation audit plan withefficiency.
Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timelyand accurate manner.
Ensure the calibration of critical equipment and instrumentationused in the inspections.
Ensure all the characteristics in Control Plan are deployed in themanufacturing processes.
Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures andchecklists.
Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possiblecorrective action.
Reports to the Industrial Quality Managers the synthesis ofinspection results, including KPIs.
Stop the production incase of adefect which justifies mandatory rework.
Escalate the anomalies detected on the production lines & ensuretheir effective treatment (QRQC tool).
Support manufacturing teams regarding the self-inspection.
Ensure quality animation methodology, in line with APSYSrequirements.
Qualification and Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) Experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
Rolling stock experience preferred.
Skill Set Requirement for Industrial Quality Engineer In connection with the Quality & Continuous Competencies Matrix - 8D Methodology, - PFEMA & Control plan - Statistical process controls - Collaborative - Persuasive and resilient - Fluent in English - Team management - 6 sigma green belt /Black belt prefferred - ISO - Knowledge in railway industry - Proficiency in MS excel, powerpoint,MS word Location.
