The Indirect Procurement (IP) Assistant Manager is an effective and valuable member of the local management team, and works to ensure delivery of subsidiary business results.
This position owns the IP process at the Plant for supplier sourcing, building strategic partnership, bidding, and support contracting governance for indirect materials/ engineering services and other key IP projects and deliver IP critical metrics including Funding-the-growth, capital savings, supplier management and digital procurement.
Core Responsibilities.
Build and implement Supply Category indirect material & service sourcing strategies to balance supply and demand at efficient total delivered costs.
Leads the people and Procurement processes to deliver performance objectives, as measured by corporate, division and local performance key indicators.
Leads segmentation strategy development and ensures creative and effective execution of sourcing on major indirect materials and purchases, ensures implementation of Continuous Improvement programs with suppliers (i.
.
Supplier Certification, etc) Accountable for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Procurement budget.
Works with systems support personnel to ensure greater utilization of Ariba, EAM, SAP throughout the Procurement organization.
Accountable for adhering to all Colgate - Palmolive's guidelines related to EHS, Quality, and Regulatory.
Additionally, ensures compliance with local and global ethical business practices, the integrity of the business process related to materials, and commercial and corporate behaviors.
Acts as a functional resource, providing support on task forces, acquisition studies, and major project support.
Develop detailed understanding of market structure/ insights and drivers for materials, with risk management overview, and identification of opportunities and threats for the future.

Degree in a technical or business field, CPM and/or MBA desirable.
Experience.
5 - 8 years.
Procurement or Supply Chain experience, with 3 years of management experience.
