GUIDEWIRE CLOUD ETL TEST LEAD

Position Description.
This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our client office at Markham 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time.
About the Job Role.
As a ETL Test Engineer lead must have knowledge and experience with both Agile and Waterfall.
Hands on Cloud Migration Testing, Snowflake, Big-data (Hadoop) Migration Testing, Data warehousing Testing, Regression and Manual Testing.
Good knowledge on tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Informatica Data Validation, Informatica , BDM 10.
, Hadoop-HIVE, Impala, Oracle, Teradata, ZENA Job scheduling, Quality Center, Application Life Cycle Management, JIRA, Rally.
Automation using Python Pandas, Shell Scripting, Excel Macros, Selenium Web driver, Informatica DVO.
Involved in various STLC phases.
Requirement Analysis, Test plan, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, Execution, Test Evidence, and Defect Management.
Key Responsibilities.
• 8+ Years of Software Quality Assurance experience on enterprise level applications which includes Data Warehouse Testing.
• Experience in writing complex SQL queries • Ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.
., data validation, regression, etc.), including evaluating the testability of requirements and create a comprehensive test plan that supports the business and technological solutions being delivered.
• Should have experience testing multiple test phases in medium to large projects.
• Understanding of information governance principles and how they could apply in a testing capacity.
• Should have adequate experience and clear understanding of data warehouse and data mart testing.
• Identification and Test Data Preparation Techniques.
• Ability to transform complex Business logic into SQL or PL/SQL queries.
• Thorough knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle, Test Case Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle etc.
• Creating requirements traceability matrix (RTM) and in Jenkins, Zena and Autosys job scheduler.
• Proficiency with Test Case Preparation and Execution.
• QA Automation Test tools expertise using Python.
• Extensive exposure to ETL testing with high-level of SQL skills is required.
• Should have exposure to large data sets and understand Data Quality Framework.
• Experience in data analysis, including profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation, in an Information technology operating environment.
• Defect tracking experience (i.
., Jira, ALM, etc.) • Experience in tuning SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Views, etc.
for performance improvements • Should be detail oriented with analytical mind set.
• Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changes while maintaining urgency in • completing assigned tasks.
Requirements.
• Experience with Cloud Snowflake and AWS(S3) including PostgreSQL DB, SQL Database, DB2, Hadoop (Hive &Impala), Data Mart, and Mongo DB • Must have experience in using ETL Tool informatica Power Center & BDM • Experience with developing data extraction, transformation, and load programs (daily and initial load) functionality on a wide range of data repositories (structured and semi-structured files, relational and multi-dimensional data stores) • Experience with data integration, data cleansing, and data analytics • Experience with data modeling and design principles for data marts and data warehouses • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, able to handle challenging situations and act appropriately.
• Excellent learning skills must learn and also guide other team members on their knowledge.
• Should be a self-starter; takes responsibility and ownership and is self-driven.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as ability to work within a team.
• Good team player; commitment to high-quality output and service.
