Job Description Job mission The Fraud Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our company’s assets and reputation by leading the Fraud Operations team.
This position involves monitoring transactions and customer profiles across acquiring and banking products, improving fraud detection rules and alerts, and managing a team of analysts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fraud prevention within the financial industry, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
Job Description.
Transaction Monitoring & Analysis.
Oversee real-time transaction monitoring to identify and mitigate fraudulent activities across acquiring and banking products.
Analyze transaction data and customer profiles to detect patterns and trends indicative of fraud.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance fraud detection and prevention efforts.
Rule & Alert Management.
Collaborate with the technology team to design, test, and implement new fraud detection rules and alerts.
Continuously evaluate and refine existing fraud rules to improve accuracy and reduce false positives.
Utilize data analytics tools to assess the effectiveness of fraud prevention measures.
Team Management & Development.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fraud analysts to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture that emphasizes accountability and excellence.
Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs for team members.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration.
Work closely with customer service, compliance, risk management, and other relevant departments to ensure a unified approach to fraud prevention.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on fraud trends and operational challenges.
Liaise with external partners and regulatory bodies as needed to address fraud-related issues and compliance requirements.
Reporting & Documentation.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on fraud trends, team performance, and risk assessment for stakeholders and management.
Ensure all fraud incidents are documented thoroughly and accurately in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications Required Qualifications.
5+ years of experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or financial crime investigation, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
In-depth knowledge of fraud detection systems, tools, and methodologies used in the financial industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
Experience working with transaction monitoring systems and fraud analytics platforms.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
High level of integrity, ethics, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications.
Certification in fraud examination (e.
., CFE, CFCS) or similar professional accreditation.
Experience in fintech or a fast-paced, technology-driven financial environment.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in fraud detection.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to financial crime and fraud prevention.
