The Product Data Science role requires an engineer at heart who is able to lead and guide Data Science/Machine Learning teams to deliver Feedzai financial crime fighting products.
The role requires deep data science knowledge allowing the teams to have strong support at a strategic level.
Besides technical leadership, you will hire top-class data scientists/machine learning engineers as well as plan the execution of product development driven by the product management team.
You need to be able to lead by example with a positive attitude bringing out the best of people.
This role is key to achieving success at Feedzai making sure we are on top of the game with respect to ML/AI Observability and Governance practices.
Your Day to Day.
Understanding the data Feedzai generates and processes.
Provide technical leadership to the team from driving architecture, design, and experimental setups up to building working prototypes.
Be responsible for the planning, execution, and success of technical projects.
Work with key stakeholders across all groups within the Engineering and Product Teams.
Develop scalable data pipelines with tools such as Airflow and Trino.
Analyze data using the Python scientific stack (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, ...) while leveraging distributed computing, e.
.
with PySpark.
You Have & You Know How.
3+ years of experience in ML Observability 3+ years of experience with very large datasets.
5+ years of experience in applied ML.
5+ years of data science work including experiment design.
Experience in communicating complex concepts to customers and/or key stakeholder.
We Value If You Have.
Experience working in Machine Learning Platform initiatives.
Experience working with time-series (exponential moving averages, forecasting, etc.) Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop and related.
Knowledge of tree based algorithms (Random Forests, XGBoost, LightGBM).
Knowledge of Deep Learning algorithms.
Experience within the fraud detection, compliance and/or digital payments domains.
Practical experience with Kubernetes.
Be able to handle stakeholder’s expectations and push-back when necessary to ensure the success of the initiative.
Be solution-oriented, and when issues arise, be able to roll up your sleeves and tackle them with a ‘get it done’ attitude.
