The Opportunity We are seeking a Lead Security Operations Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in End User Computing Security Operations.
This role is crucial in ensuring the stability, security, and continuous improvement of our services through analysis, automation, and innovation.
As the Lead Security Operations Engineer, you will.
Supervise the EUC Security Operations Engineering team, managing SLAs, quality control, and team workflows.
Deliver regular insights and ensure service excellence through collaboration with the EUC Operations Manager.
Maintain and support end-user security platforms, focusing on risk mitigation and data loss prevention.
Investigate vulnerabilities, deploy security fixes, and ensure robust endpoint protection.
Optimize and automate security processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Provide detailed security reporting, ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
Develop high-quality technical documentation and training materials.
Ensure smooth execution of monthly patching cycles for Microsoft and third-party platforms.
Support internal and external audits, providing relevant data and compliance evidence.
Assist in running regular penetration tests and implementing remediation strategies.
Qualifications What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in security operations, particularly in workstation configuration and patch management.
Previous experience leading teams in technical environments is an advantage.
Proficiency with SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows , and Microsoft 365 Suite.
Experience with Windows Update for Business and other patch management methodologies.
Strong investigative and troubleshooting skills in security operations.
Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and PatchMyPC (or similar tools) is a plus.
Familiarity with PowerBi, Power Automate, Log Analytics, and PowerShell scripting.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure.
ITIL certification (desirable but not required).
Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Must be based in Portugal or willing to relocate (remote work available from anywhere in the country).
