EDU Manager – Mechanical Integration Purpose of the Job Managing and developing the Mechanical Integration Team on Site Promoting and ensuring deployment of QMS and corresponding Engineering Instructions, Process and tools for Mechanical Integration EDU on Site.
Managing the Mechanical Integration EDU workload on Site Managing Mechanical Integration EDU resources, activities and deliverables on a project in compliance with QCD commitments.
Applying applicable Mechanical Domain instructions, processes & tools.• Position in the Organization Organization Reporting Hierarchical Reporting.
(Site) Mechanical Domain Leader (MDL) Network & Links Engineering.
Design team (other MLEs, DLEs, …), TSS, Validation team, Costing Team… Project.
Project Engineering Manager (PrEM), Industrial Lead Engineer (ILE),Project Sourcing Manager (PrSM), Project Planning Manager (PrPM), ILS Manager Site.
Sourcing Department (Buyers), Indus Department, Manufacturing, Quality Department, etc… Participating Units & CoE.
Mechanical Lead Engineers (MLE) counterparts on the corresponding project(s)/program(s) External Interface.
Customers, Suppliers, Subcontractors Missions Performance Measurement/KPI’s Closure of open points or escalation.
10 days maximum Compliance to Engineering Work Package (variation orders excluded).
100% Quality of his delivery (included sub-contractor delivery).
1st time quality rate > 90% (quality rate = modification validated OK / number of applied modification) Respect of the delivery planning (included sub-contractor delivery) = 100% OTD Application level of standard PPL = 100% Configuration management of his deliverables = 100% of deliverables properly managed into configuration database Respect of Cost allocation Responsibilities Accountable for.
Ensuring the proper follow-up of the Métier Quality and Delivery on Mechanical Integration Work packages.
Ensuring understanding and application of the TD rules, processes and tools (single-domain).
Ensuring that mechanical design reviews (single domain) are prepared and documented as per the project/program schedule and to follow-up the main open actions.
Ensuring proper collaborative work with other EDUs/Domains/Métier/Departments Defining mitigation plans covering a risk identified on Mechanical Domain scope.
Performing project Mechanical Domain activities in compliance with QCD commitments.
Planning and piloting Mechanical Domain activities and related deliverables on project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements.
Ensuring Mechanical Domain deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
Reporting on Mechanical Domain activities progress and alerting relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments.
Monitoring assigned Mechanical Sub-Systems deliveries conformity with project needs.
Checking availability on time of work package input data and escalate if necessary.
Responsible for.
Managing the development of the Mechanical Integration team to ensure the adequacy of the capacity vs workload vs skills and the transfer of activities if needed.
Defining Mechanical Integration architecture taking into account weight, gauge, installation strategy, acoustics, eco design, ergonomics, aerodynamics, aeraulic… Allocating adequate mechanical resources to the projects/programs/tenders.
Applying and follow-up the People Management Cycle on time for Mechanical Integration team according to N+1 and HR instructions.
Supporting the Mechanical Integration team in the resolution of issues and challenging actions (multi-domains) in particular those involving other stakeholders (internal or external).
Reporting on Mechanical Integration activities progress and alerting in case of main issue (capacity, skills, rule applicability, etc.).
Verifying relevant Mechanical Integration deliverables and securing planning.
Signaling issue and/or making proposals to TD Central Engineering that would contribute to continuous improvement of the Mechanical Domain Applying TD rules, processes and tools (single-domain) and ensuring Mechanical Domain deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
Managing production of deliverables in accordance with planning targets on Mechanical Domain assigned work packages.
Designing products taking into account project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc.).
Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to project schedule and following-up the main open actions.
Checking respect of Allocated volumes/interfaces (no-clashes) on internal design.
Resolving Project Mechanical issues and following challenging actions (single-domain) Defining mitigation plans covering a risk identified on Project Mechanical Domain scope.
Respecting and/or allocating requirements and mechanical interfaces to Sub-Systems/equipment (Allocated volume, weight, location, 3PL, etc.) Coordinating Mechanical Domain contributors on Project.
Analyzing and consolidating change request impacts on Mechanical Domain scope Producing Mechanical Domain deliverables (RSAD L2, Validation Plan, etc.) Verifying relevant Mechanical Domain deliverables and securing planning.
Verifying design via mock-ups or simulations.
Contributor for.
Defining mitigation plans covering a risk identified on Project Mechanical (multi-domains) Perform quotation of engineering work package, upon request Defining Project Mechanical Decomposition (PBS) Defining Mechanical Project/Product Preferred Part List (3PL) delivery.
Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization and Manufacturing teams during Production ramp-up.
Collaborating with MDL for continuous improvement of the Domain (including RoE) Defining Mechanical Domain architecture taking into account weight, gauge, installation strategy, acoustics, eco design, ergonomics, aerodynamics, aeraulic… Establishing Certification & Validation Plans for TD scope.• Job Specifications Knowledge & Experience Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with 4 to 6 years of experience.
Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer).
