s, that will act as a proxy and queue system for managing Discord webhooks.
This server will be essential to help navigate Discord's stringent rate limiting on webhooks.
The server should be able to.
- Handle incoming POST requests to /api/webhooks/ at a rate of webhooks per second.
- Queue these requests in a database of your choice (any will suffice).
- Manage rate limits for each individual webhook, server, IP, and channel.
- Communicate global rate limits and pause all sending when necessary.
- Retry sending failed webhooks due to rate limiting until successful.
- Maintain a 99.
% send rate for all webhooks.
The system should utilize a First-in-first-out (FIFO) prioritization for handling multiple incoming webhooks.
Ideal skills and experience for the job include.
- Proficient in Node.
s and its related frameworks.
- Familiar with server development and management.
- Understanding of Discord's rate limiting and webhook functionality.
(there should be a queue for each unique webhook address, as usually the ratelimit is not global, however, when it is global all queues must pause) - Experience with database management and queuing systems.
- Ability to build a reliable, high-performance system under time constraints.
I am open to using advanced solutions such as using multiple bot tokens to convert webhook to bots, and am also open to load balancing in some fashion.
