Position Description.
As a Desktop Technician, your role is to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve incidents related to end user IT infrastructure in a fast-paced retail environment for one of Canad's most recognizable brands.
You will work with the retail support team to quickly identify and resolve service impacting issues, ensuring that incidents are resolved in accordance with the client's Service Level Agreement (SLA).
You will also assist with remediation activities as needed following widespread software upgrades and new deployments.
Your role will also include assisting the retail support team with inventory management, both inbound and outbound as required.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn new skills in IT Operations in a fast-paced environment for one of Canada's most recognizable names.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
The member will be responsible for the set up and support of desktop and laptop equipment for our client.
Responsibilities include.
> Manage daily incidents for retail store infrastructure in a timely manner.
> Image, configure, setup and install hardware for new store builds, retrofits and incidents where required.
> Assist with remediation activities following software upgrades and new deployments.
> Preparing hardware and assist in shipment of hardware for incidents, retrofits, new store builds and additions.
> Assist in inventory tracking of all inbound and outbound activities.
> Provide assistance, as necessary during extended hours for iconic launches and events Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
Mandatory Technical Skills.
> Windows > Antivirus > Microsoft Office > Knowledge of Computer hardware and peripherals > Knowledge of networking principles > Ticketing system (ITSP / ITSM is an asset) Soft skills.
> Customer service oriented > Professional appearance since this is a client facing role > Self-starter, ability to work independently > Must be able to meet scheduled deliverables > Team player > Autonomous > Resourceful Education > Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience Language > English > Optional - French spoken and written.
