DBA ADMIN

Position Description.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 4 to 7 years of experience, primary focus on MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL, and secondary expertise in Oracle.
The ideal candidate will manage and maintain databases in both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
You will help documenting the standard procedures of DBA while working with the Lead / Leadership Teams.
Key Responsibilities.
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot MSSQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
• Provide secondary support for Oracle databases.
• Manage and maintain databases hosted in cloud environments.
• Perform regular database backups, restores, and recovery procedures.
• Implement and maintain database security (user accounts, roles, and privileges).
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Install, configure, and upgrade database software for MSSQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
• Coordinate with application development teams for database-related changes.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all databases.
• Implement and maintain data encryption, masking, and other security measures.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine database tasks.
• Implement automated alerts and notifications for database issues.
• Design and implement high-availability solutions such as Replication, Always On Availability Groups and creating Hot Streaming & Logical Replication (Master and Slave) & Oracle cluster installation.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Experience in working with a Linux/UNIX environment.
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools (e.
., SolarWinds).
• Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL programming • Fantastic troubleshooting skills in High availability & Performance management - Handling critical priority issues independently.
• Hands-on experience in executing critical migration / upgrade projects.
• Responsible for resolving all technical incidents escalated by the L-1 team and closely with SMEs during P2/P1 incidents.
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) and clearly within the team and with all the stakeholder’s good knowledge on ITIL process.
• Flexible to work on 24/7 rotational shifts.
• Open to learn and explore new technologies to support ZONES business goals.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified.
Azure Database Administrator, AWS Certified Database, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), or equivalent are preferred.
