Position Description.
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Oracle Database Software Developer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database software development, with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining applications that leverage Oracle database systems.
This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and collaboratively to develop robust and efficient database-driven applications.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications that utilize Oracle database systems to support various business processes.
• Write complex SQL queries, PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application functionality and data manipulation requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand application requirements and provide Oracle database solutions.
• Optimize application performance by analyzing and tuning SQL queries and PL/SQL code.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability by implementing best practices for Oracle database development.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Due ti the nature of the work, US citizenship and a Secret security clearance are required • 3-5 years of experience in Oracle database software development.
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Strong understanding of Oracle database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.
• Experience with Oracle performance tuning and query optimization.
• Knowledge of Oracle database security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
• Experience with version control systems (e.
., Git).
• Excellent interpersonal skills, good presentation, communication.
• The candidate must be a team player, but be able to work independently, as required.
• Ability to work within an “agile” environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in configuration management tools such as Jira.
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Comptia Security+ or higher IAT certification.
