DATA GOVERNANCE MANAGER

You will be integrated into the Information Systems Department as a Data Governance Manager, and your mission will be to ensure the correct integration, quality, and timely availability of data, contributing to the optimization of decision-making.
What will you do? Define data governance strategies, policies and procedures.
Define and apply data governance standards, ensuring the quality, consistency and accuracy of data throughout its lifecycle.
Develop data governance frameworks and guidelines, including data classification, data ownership and data management.
Act as the main point of contact for data-related issues and ensure that data is accurate, timely and relevant to the company's needs.
Ensure data security and privacy compliance by providing implementation guidance on appropriate access controls, data classification protocols and data protection measures.
Carry out technical data audits to identify improvement actions.
Organise data governance events with the organisation to promote data literacy.
Define data sharing and collaboration between teams and departments, ensuring data access, ease of use and appropriate data sharing agreements.
Evaluate, select and implement data management tools and technologies to support data management initiatives and improve data management capabilities.
Provide guidance and training to users and stakeholders on data governance best practices, policies and procedures.
Keep up-to-date on industry trends, standards and regulatory requirements related to data governance and recommend appropriate modifications to existing policies and practices.
Enable the democratisation of data and self-service access to data.
What are we looking for? More than 5 years' experience in data governance Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related field Previous experience in a data management or data governance role, with an emphasis on data quality, metadata management and data administration.
Solid conceptual knowledge of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Master Data Management.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in relevant data management tools and applications.
Understanding of data governance principles, policies and best practices.
Must be able to establish and apply data governance policies and procedures to ensure that data is properly managed and protected throughout its lifecycle.
Be able to define and measure data quality parameters such as accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness, as well as identify data quality issues and work with data owners to resolve them.
Ability to analyse and interpret data to understand its meaning, importance and relevance to the activity.
Nice to have.
DAMA International certification, preferably in Data Management Fundamentals, Data Quality and Reference and Master Data Management.
Knowledge of data exploration and visualisation tools such as PowerBI or Qlik.
Knowledge of SQL and Python.
