DATA GOVERNANCE LEAD

Position Description.
Looking for an individual passionate about data governance to join our team at CGI.
Learn and implement new technology and advanced analytical tools in a cooperative encouraging environment.
Looking for an individual who can work with the client and determine best strategy for modernization of and handling of data and be able to implement such strategy.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Arlington, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Develop and implement Data Governance Framework • Develop and implement data lifecycle management policies.
• Establish Data Quality standards and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with federal and department regulations • Collaborate on the implementation of data governance tools and technologies to support data lineage, metadata management and data quality monitoring Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Experience in Data Governance, data management or related roles • Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices • Proficiency in data management tools and technologies • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders • Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
• Certification in data governance or related areas (DM-BOK, CDMP,CISSP, CIPP) CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications.
To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.
