Position Description.
Cognos Job Description This role is within the Global Technology team and will interact with the various business groups globally, e.

Global Client Group, Trading, Risk, Compliance and Finance.
The developer will be responsible for delivering the technology projects with focus on the DWS Strategic projects and changes driven by upcoming regulatory milestones.
Qualifications / Skills • 6-8 + years of Cognos 11 Version development experience.
Asset Management Domain Knowledge • 5+ years of experience in Cognos 11 and 1 Year Experince in Cognos 12 version and Framework manager.
• Knowledge in Banking domain, especially Asset Management preferred.
Technical Skills • Cognos Developer • Bachelor/Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or other relevant principles • Cognos 11 version development experience is a must • Expertise in creating and publishing packages in Framework Manager from various data sources and generated different kind of multilingual reports.
• Expertise in creating and designing Framework Models made up of Namespaces, Query subjects, Query items, Shortcuts, Relationships, Calculations, Filters, Data Sources and packages.
• Expertise in generating different types of reports like List, Cross-tab, Charts, Drill-Thru, Master Detailed and Dashboards.
• Expertise in Developing prompts pages; Cascading input prompts to display only the selected entries in the report and also worked on the customization of prompt parameters.
• 5+ years of proven Experience in Cognos Framework Manager, Cognos Data Module, Cognos Analytics Reports, Cognos Analytics Dashboards and Stories, AI Assistant • Thorough knowledge of Cognos development and administration, Business intelligence, and data warehousing concepts, report and application development, Cognos testing, and troubleshooting, BI documentation, and end-user support.
• Good knowledge in SQL, debugging report issues and performance improvements.
• IBM Cognos Certifications and knowledge of any of the below Data Warehouse & BI technologies will be considered as a plus.
RDBMS (DB2, MSSQL Server, Oracle, etc.), Scripting, etc.
Automation Tools (Control-M, Oracle Workflow, etc.) • Ability to work with minimum supervision, effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
• Analytical and strong problem-solving skills • Good knowledge on the systems development life cycle Project management, processes, tools, concepts and methodologies • Ability to communicate in fluent English in speech and writing.
• Nice to have skills • Working experience in Agile methodology.
• Experience in setting up and configuring IBM Cognos Soft Skills • Ability to partner with Business Analyst to interpret functional specifications • Ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment • Ability to pick up new product and technical knowledge quickly • Ability to quickly learn new and complex processes • Self-starter, able to set own targets and timelines and manage delivery expectations with users.
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English (written and verbal) Education • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Finance.
• Good working experience of SDLC and Agile methodologies Roles and Responsibilities • As a Cognos Developer will be working in a team of highly motivated technical experts delivering various challenging high visibility projects.
• Ability to adapt to fast pace development model is crucial.
• Working experience in Agile Methodology • Participate in design meetings and design decisions.
• Develop System Monitoring tools.
• Contribute to operational and risk remediation activities.
