CLOUD FINOPS ENGINEER (M/W/D)

Kühne + Nagel is driving an holistic approach to Business Value Optimization and Realization from leverage of public and private cloud services.
\r\nCloud Financial Management (CFM) constitutes one key axis in our global cloud value framework and subsumes FinOps and DevFinOps activities in support of our product development teams and of KN management stakeholders.
Your Role You join as a member of our newly formed Cloud Value Engineering team (CVE) in our IT hub in Porto.
The team is part of our global CCoE / Cloud Business Office function, called KN Cloud Office.
r\nFrom Porto you contribute to our distributed team across European IT hubs located in Hamburg (Germany) and in Tallinn (Estonia) as well as with digital product development, operational services and management stakeholders around the world.
Your Responsibilities   Analyze cloud service spend at cross-application and at individual\r\n application scopes leveraging common CFM methods and tooling.
Collaborate closely with KN finance team, KN infrastructure team\r\n and AWS account team to refine methods and tooling and to integrate data\r\n flow with KN financial management Identifiy cost optimization potentials and create complementing\r\n input for decision makers at corresponding scope and Contribute in building the CFM team as a trusted advisor among KN\r\n stakeholders by demonstrating engineering principles and mindset Monitor cloud spend day to day and prepare weekly & monthly\r\n reports for review of Cloud spend Provide expert knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies\r\n (e.

rightsizing, waste management) and track the progress and success of\r\n Cost Optimization activities Advise and support operational teams in implementation of CFM\r\n guardrails and controls Advise and support product development teams in execution of FinOps\r\n / DevFinOps activities and in cost-optimization of solution designs in\r\n product development and operation (in close collaboration with cloud\r\n architecture team) Contribute in assembling the big picture of cloud value engineering\r\n from CFM perspective and in developing consistent model and advanced\r\n strategies from it.
Your Skills and Experiences   Demonstrable technical knowledge of all AWS services including cost\r\n explorer, quicksight dashboard creation, operation and query, AWS \r\n budgets is must.
Google Cloud or MS Azure is good to have.
Good understanding of cloud concepts such as compute services,\r\n elasticity, tagging, billing, pricing models, discount options, and cost\r\n reporting tools.
Knowledge of core financial concepts in cloud computing such as\r\n cost showback, cost attribution, forecasting, and amortization.
Ability to process and analyze large amounts of financial data\r\n using standard tools and query languages.
MS Excel skills for integration and pick-up of existing financial\r\n reporting data and processes.
Communication and presentation skills for sharing of insights and\r\n relay into decision making.
Experience in writing Policy-as-Code and integration into delivery\r\n pipelines and in operational monitoring / controls.
For DevFinOps.
Sound understanding of software architecture\r\n patterns and implementation techniques for cost-effective solutions.
For DevFinOps.
Experience in consulting and in onboarding /\r\n coaching of devops teams into CFM activities.
