The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.

Managing Engineering operations and budget; maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.
ORE WORK ACTIVITIESManaging Property Operations and Engineering Budgets• Supervises Engineering• Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.• Maintains and operates equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety.• Establishes and manages an effective rooms maintenance program.• Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures.• Manages department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.• Select and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.• Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.• Supervises the day to day operations of Engineering.

Min.
2 year degree from an accredited university in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics or related major.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Min.
6 years experience in the engineering and maintenance area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing is required.
ther Qualifications.
Excellent knowledge of Engineering operations to manage everyday business operations and generate innovative solutions to approach function specific work challenges.
(Equipment maintenance and selection, troubleshooting, telecommunication, purchasing and material management, building and safety codes, emergency systems, hazardous materials and chemicals, HVAC/Refrigeration, indoor air quality management, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, energy, safety and personal protective equipment, water facility maintenance and safety, financial management, contract negotiating).
Good verbal and written English skills.
Should be an efficient team leader with good verbal and written communication skills, should be good in planning and organizing.
Should have good problem solving and decision making skills.
Budgetary analysis capabilities are required.
Should have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and other operational programs used in the hotel.
