We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.
Expected to open in Q, Andaz Lisbon will offer guests an exciting new luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital - and it will represent a key milestone in Hyatt's continued brand growth in Southern Europe.
Andaz Lisbon is set to become the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon.
Located in the center of Lisbon's bustling Baixa district and situated along the main pedestrian road, Rua Augusta, the hotel will be comprised of five separate buildings, including the former offices of one of the major banks in Portugal, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI).
This central building of the hotel will offer 170 guestrooms, with the surrounding four satellite buildings of the hotel offering guests various private suites to choose from.
This unique Urban Resort in the city center will allow guests to fully embrace the locale and experience authentic Lisbon.
We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our pre-opening team at Andaz Lisbon.
The ideal candidate will have a flair for culinary excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities.
* Food Preparation.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's standards and recipes.
* Station Management.
Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, such as grill, sauté, or pastry, ensuring smooth operations.
* Quality Control.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and presented beautifully.
* Inventory Management.
Assist in ordering and managing inventory for your station.
* Training and Supervision.
Train and supervise commis kitchen staff.
* Hygiene and Safety.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
* Menu Development.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on menu planning and development.
* Event Support.
Assist in the preparation and execution of special events and functions.
Requirements.
* Education.
Culinary degree or equivalent work experience.
* Experience.
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
* Skills.
Strong culinary skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Attributes.
Ability to work well under pressure, strong communication skills, and a passion for culinary arts.
