CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a CARE Next Gen Automation Engineer on a shared services project – part of the CDM DEFEND program.
You will be part of a team of security and operations professionals in improving security posture of a wide range of agencies by identifying and help mitigating cyber risks.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities.
• Responsible for monitoring user activity and endpoint detection data logging • Responsible for setting-up new and refining monitoring alerts for various IT operational systems • Responsible for investigating and triaging of operational alerts based on abnormal user activity and endpoint detections • Collaborate with other operational and security teams members in reporting the incidents and escalation process • Experience with SOAR Automation tools and scripts Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work.
In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in IT operations/security monitoring • Experience with SOAR and Automation Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required.
• Experience in Incident Management CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications.
To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.
