Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) was created in in Lisbon, Portugal with the mandate to provide financial services for Air Liquide European entities.
In the space of 4 years, it has expanded to over 400 employees based in 3 office locations.
Lisbon, Tomar and Guarda.
The geographical scope was extended to include, besides the European affiliates also entities located in Africa, Middle-East and India, and the operational scope was extended and includes today not just Finance, but also Human Resources.

As a Europe Payroll Contract Manager, your main Responsibilities are but not limited to.
* First point of contact with STRADA regarding Payroll contract, change requests, Service Improvements in link with Payroll Manager * Primary point of contact for the payroll contract + Amendments.
Ensure international stakeholders understand the contract in a simple way.
Understands the contract inside and out.
Looks for opportunities to negotiate contract improvements * Working closely with Payroll Operations Manager in the BSC.
* Identify new KPIs to better measure performance * Attending monthly Service Review Meetings for all countries * Assess SLA KPI measurement in line with Payroll Operations feedback.
Including defining the penalties based on the contract.
* Leader of the Governance set up at Regional Level * Coordination with all countries and internal stakeholders (IT, Procurement, Finance, business, etc) on their payroll operations * Review & support the definition Once a year with the country the payroll budget setting * Set up a Governance to align at Country level on further harmonization and simplification * Prepare and follow up the financing/accounting/payments for the services * Define and manage the Continuous Improvements of the payroll (together with the Payroll Manager) landscape in order to automatise or remove services from the payroll provider * Make the operation a more efficient, process and cash wise by negotiating and standardizing across Countries * Negotiate, and manage a service catalog including all our global services in Europe in line with the Payroll Manager * Working closely with indirect Europe procurement and legal for business reviews / commercial / contractual matters Will be the lead and first point of contact for all key customer matters, anticipate the customer's needs, work within BSC HR to ensure that service performance expectations are met, that the whole partner relationship is strong and that we deliver the best customer and employee experience.
More precisely, but not limited to, this role will cover.
* Developing a solid and trusting relationship between the different stakeholders within the HR community, the different functions, the business, and BSC HR.
* Promoting the resolution of the key customer issues and complaints, acting as an escalation point for issues impacting at a country level * Support in the harmonization of policies and procedures within HR BSC and also proposing its improvements * Endorsing improvement and change initiatives within the coordination of projects * Promoting frequent, clear and efficient communication between internal and external stakeholders * Working with team members from other BSC departments to ensure the highest quality of service is delivered and all client needs are met (Finance) * Ensuring that the customer objectives and key initiatives are shared with the relevant stakeholders and governance members * Being involved in all compliance and audit matters in case of need * Managed Service Provider relationship, including change control, issues escalation and resolution, etc.
* Maintains detailed knowledge of Service Provider contract * Acts as primary point of contact for the Service Provider to discuss the state of the relationship and communicate any changes within the company that could have implications for the Service Provider * Oversees the roll out of global activities and provides the approval of change activity.
Ensures internal compliance to change control process and manages distribution of change requests to Service Provider * Provides clear leadership and overall direction throughout the life of the contract and associated services.
* Secures the funding required so that the desired benefits are realized.
* Maintains alignment of Air Liquide initiatives and projects to the Services and business's strategic direction.
* Manages effective communications within the countries Referents and other global/local streams * Ensures availability of Key Users / Subject Matter Experts to contribute to the major activities * Participates actively in continuous improvement Are you a MATCH? * Project management skills * Negotiation skills, ability to challenge each aspect of the contract * Strong organizational and time-management skills * Customer/ stakeholder relationship management skills * Excellent interpersonal skills (collaborative and team oriented with cross-functional collaboration background) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people including managers, executives, business partners and subject matter experts from various countries, cultures and business levels.
