Position Description.
We’re seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our CGI team and contribute to a dynamic and determined team that will be assisting a local Northern California public sector to focus on the design and management of core cloud infrastructure in order to successfully deliver services to their Citizens.
This position is located at our Sacramento, CA office with work performed at the client site in Sacramento, CA area.
You will be required to be at the client’s site 3-4 days per week.
This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a small dynamic team environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities.
How you'll make an impact Operate, monitor, and support Azure Services, support application development, develop and support Microsoft DevOps and associated tool set, and serve as MS DevOps build and release while supporting project development staff with as an Infrastructure Expert • Microsoft DevOps.
Maintain Build and Release pipelines to automate software release process Integrate Azure and various other tools and services into the pipeline release process • Azure Services.
Maintain Azure Automation Tasks Monitor and update Backup and Recovery operations • Infrastructure Management.
Strong understanding of Azure Architecture and Services.
Under direction of Cloud Architect, Design, Build, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Azure ARM Templates and Terraform.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell.
Experience with Azure Network, Compute, and Automation services.
Monitor and manage Azure Cloud Services Solid understanding of Azure Cloud Networking Understanding of account management with focus on use of Microsoft Entra ID and Windows Domain based authentication.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaboration and Communication Work closely with development, testing, reporting, and operational teams as related to software release.
Ability to work independently and as part of team.
Strong problem-solving and Troubleshooting skills.
• Security and Compliance Solid understanding of access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
• Incident Management Respond to and resolve incidents related to the system and conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role.
What you'll bring • 5 years of Infrastructure Engineering experience • 3 years of Azure experience • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD principles and automation tools • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure ARM templates • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker & Kubernetes - a plus) • Strong understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Azure Tools, Splunk or equivalent) • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Azure Foundations, Azure Administrator or equivalent Azure Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience • Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise Minimum Education Required.
