AWS AppStream Developer / Engineer Position.
SSE, LA Experience.

Full Time / Permanent Qualification.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field - Ability to understand and work with AWS as a cloud provider.
This will involve understanding the key building blocks with AWS around CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS (VPC) networking, S3 storage management, and Security Group management.
- Having skills in CloudFormation will also allow them to use IaC to configure/build/maintain the AppStream elements.
- Understand the key concepts around Okta and Active Directory.
This is especially important to understand how to configure the IAM and ensure that users can only use what they are entitled to.
Integrating Okta and AD is crucial to how things work for AppStream.
- Able to be able to configure and manage gold images which will contain the applications Fleet and Image Management - Understanding how to configure fleets (the virtual machines running AppStream) and manage images (the application stack users interact with) is crucial.
- Scaling and Performance Optimization.
You need to know how to configure scaling policies for fleets based on user demand, optimizing cost and performance.
- Application Packaging.
Skills in configuring applications within images for AppStream deployment and maintaining compatibility with various software.
- Confident to be able to RCA issues when they arise.
Be proactive to resolve things before they become a problem.
- Effective communicator who will also ensure that runbooks are kept up to date and help manage the KB articles around fault resolution to help the CGI Helpdesk.
- End user compute experience with Citrix, Microsoft AVD, etc would help understand how to manage/work with AppStream.
