The selected candidate will work under the projects OPEVA, Crossbrain, as well as the BP2 – Monitoring and modelling for sustainable lithium refining project of the Agenda NGS under the PRR framework.
The aim is to develop a novel generation of miniaturized sensor devices for biomedical and industrial applications.
Job Duties The job duties will be the following.
Develop system components (SoC) that include the sensors and the corresponding CMOS analog front-end electronics interface; Design, fabricate and test embedded systems that include the sensors and the CMOs AFEs; Collect data, transmissions and operation control of those systems.
Mandatory Qualifications   Education MSc in Electrical, Electronics or Physics Engineering.
Experience and Technical Skills Strong experience in microcontroller embedded applications and firmware programming (C, C++) for multiple targets (ARM cores); Experience with designs including wireless communications (i.
., ISM band radios, Bluetooth, LoraWan, or NB- IoT); Expe rience in industrial interfaces (e.
., RS-485, CAN bus communications); Experience in FPGA design flow (i.
., VHLD or Verilog synthesis) Experience in generic analog front-end design for sensors (i.
., Ca pacitive, Resistive or Optical); Experience in circuit board design (i.
., Altium or KiCad), and product life-cycle including EMC and handover to production (BOM).
Other Valued Skills Knowledge in CMOS analog circuit design electronics; Development of testchip testing setups, inclu ding computer interfacing (e.
., Labview, Matlab or Python) and data acquisition (e.
., Labview or Python); Experience with CAD tools (PCB design) and FEM tools (e.
., Comsol or similar 3D tools) and circuit simulation tools (SPICE).
Preferred Qualifications PhD in Electrical, Electronics or Physics Engineering.
Personal Skills “ Hands-on” approach together with a high commitment in respecting working deadlines; Problem Solving ability; Customer orientation; Ability to work i ndependently and as team player, with especially emphasis in international and cross-functional teams; Good communication skills.
